i already cant wait for the day. chris found out his address yesterday and it made me realize this is real. but i love that man and i can wait because i know it is worth it. i tell you the hardest part in all this is the fact that with all the stress him and i have been bickering over the dumbest things ever. but the moments that he calls to tell me goodnight and how much he loves me and miss me...those are worth it all.

The fighting and bickering is TOTALLY normal...it is part of getting prepared for a seperation. They ALL (as much as they deny it), try to emotionally distance themselves and subconsciously sabbotage their last few days that are suppose to be wonderful.

You will be fine, he will be fine and you two TOGETHER will be just fine...it's a lot of work and you will sometimes have a fleeting moment of wondering why you are doing it...but you will look back on it and say "It sure didn't feel like _____ (a year, 15 months, 6 months, whatever)!!!"

Tell him to stay away from the combatives class when he is "over there"...my hubby just got finished with part 1 of 3 that he signed up for and he is beaten up so badly (2 black eyes, wrenched back, busted lip...) that he thinks he may try and back out of the last 2 parts...!

omgosh chris better not go near those classes. he informed me this morning he has to go and get i guess licenses for certain vehicles while he is there in iraq. he was informed he would have to be operating those during his tour. which i guess isnt bad. update on the chin...basically he is just sore. he didnt get pain meds so he has no way to really relieve any of the pressure/soreness. but all seems to be going well.
